Willow Weaving- Berry Basket Friday April 17th 10am-4.30pm
We are so delighted to be able to host a wonderful beginners Willow weaving workshop. With Support and guidance from Carina of Whittle and Weave you will create your own beautiful berry basket. The Berry basket is Ideal to use for foraging, blackberry picking or as a stunning piece of organic home décor.
Over the course of this full day workshop you will learn how to make a base using a pairing weave, how to build up the sides using a three-rod wale and then a simple border to finish off. This workshop is the perfect introduction to this new hobby and will furnish you with the skills and knowledge required to continue this hobby at home.
All materials are provided.
As this willow weaving project needs plenty of space we will be hosting it at the Village Hall in Tissington. This is situated opposite the duck pond in the village.
Refreshments teas, coffee, fruit teas and yummy biscuits will be provided but as this is a full day workshop you will need to source some lunch, either something scrummy from Herbert’s Tea Rooms or bring a pack up.
