Tissington Village Wax Hurricane Lantern
Our beautiful watercolour artwork by Sophie Burton is now available as a wax hurricane candle!
These wax lanterns can be used inside and outside and they last forever – just keep replacing the tea light in them for a beautiful, warm flickering glow.
These are made just down the lane by On a Wick & a Prayer candlemakers of Derbyshire. Making hurricane candles out of wax and setting fabric designs inside is completely unique to On a Wick & a Prayer, having been developed by founder Annie, over 20 years ago. The complex process involves a mix of several types of waxes, heated and mixed to create the ideal house to hold the fabric in place while allowing the design to show through. Each one is handmade with all the care and attention it deserves by one of their expert candlemakers.
